Devotional: How to Let Go and Find the Rest You Really Need
Zephaniah 3:17
For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.
Banner Over My Soul, your love is wrapped around the hearts of those you created. You have set apart your beloved to be vessels of goodness and joy. I will live in the welcome shadow of your grace and display your mercy to my world. Amen.

Devotional: Peanut Butter & the Marriage Supper of the Lamb
Isaiah 25:6-8
In Jerusalem, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world. It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat. There he will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hangs over the earth. He will swallow up death forever!
Lord of All Things, your kingdom is not of this world, yet you have revealed hints of its glory. You have chosen to share the goodness of justice, mercy, and love with your creation. May I seek to bring your kingdom to my world so that others may understand your table is set with grace for all. Amen.

Devotional: Looking Up
2 Corinthians 5:18-19
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
Creator God, you know the inmost parts of your creation. You placed in each heart a desire for relationship and beauty. Please fill my life with your righteousness, for I know the joy it brings is something only you can supply. Amen.

Devotional: The Scandal of Grace
2 Timothy 1:9
For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.
Gracious God, you see the fullness of the darkness in the heart of humanity, yet you love unconditionally. You experienced the undeserved violence of the world, yet your forgiveness was swift and continues through eternity. You strengthen, you inspire, and you encourage. In your mercy, may I humbly realize my own failures, seek higher thoughts of others, respond in grace. Amen.

Devotional: The Command That Creates
Mark 1:17-18
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.
Sovereign Teacher, you invite those who follow you to experience the life of your kingdom. Your voice leads to unknown paths and unfamiliar ways. Give me strength to walk in the direction in which you have called me, knowing you will never leave me alone. Amen.

Devotional: Drawing a Sacred Circle
Deuteronomy 32:10-11
He found them in a desert land, in an empty, howling wasteland. He surrounded them and watched over them; he guarded them as he would guard his own eyes. Like an eagle that rouses her chicks and hovers over her young, so he spread his wings to take them up and carried them safely on his pinions.
Holy Protective Parent, you surround your children with love and mercy. You never rest from your vigilant care over your treasured creation. Help me to trust you in times of confusion as well as times of clarity. Amen.
Music: Prayer of St. Patrick
