WholeLife Daily Reflections
Life is God’s most precious gift. Anything that takes away life from another person is an act of murder. We are most like Jesus when preserve, restore, and give life to others…in short, when we love people.

Devotional: All or Nothing Faith
2 Corinthians 5:15
He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
Holy God, you fulfill your promises, and you make all things whole. You never ask for anything without fully providing what is needed. Whether it is with great effort or with ease, help me to live my life as a reflection of you today. Amen.

Devotional: The Killing Idea
God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.
Prince of Peace, in your kingdom weapons of war will become implements of reconciliation. Your presence in the form of humanity defeated death and revealed a God who despises violence. You have called me to be an instrument of kindness. Fulfill that purpose in my life today. Amen.

Devotional: Christ’s Definition of Violent Rhetoric
Gentle words are a tree of life; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
Forgiving Savior, your death was the ultimate expression of unimaginable love. The words you spoke to your accusers and executioners were words of mercy, compassion, and understanding. May the words I speak today be filled with your gentleness in every situation. Amen.
Tuesday, April 19
Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.
Compassionate Redeemer, you bring the outcast to the inside. You speak life into the broken and marginalized. You have placed your kingdom in the hearts of your children. May my heart echo your words of blessing to my world today. Amen.

Devotional: Hand Grenades on the Playground
Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.
Holy Communicator, your words are rich in wisdom and truth and are universal. You alone hold the secrets of life and the fullness of knowledge. Bless me with humility today so that my words and actions reflect the kindness, gentleness and love of Jesus. In a special way, I am asking for peace in Ukraine, an area that is experiencing hand grenades on the playground in a very real way. Amen.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
God of Grace, you know fully the heart of humanity, and it is far from perfect. However, your heart is full of compassion and kindness. Fill me with your Spirit today so that I might respond to my day with gratitude for your mercy. Amen.
