The Hospital Church is in the midst of a series addressing texts in the Bible that are often misused. Our devotional this month will broaden this topic a bit to consider what it means to treat all Scripture fairly. Below is a text and prayer for each day, Monday thru Friday, along with a link for a devotional thought and music to be used at your discretion. I hope taking time each day helps to better prepare you to engage in worship this weekend. You are always welcome to share, comment, and subscribe!

Job 11:7

God of All, you are just and true. Your love and compassion will never be compromised. Guide me to speak humbly and walk in an honest faith. Amen.

Thursday: The Hidden Dangers of Defending Beliefs
Psalm 62:5-8
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.
God, Our Refuge, you are consistent and unchangeable. You are a dwelling of security and a haven of hope. I will trust in you alone, and not on my own understanding. Amen.

If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.
